  • The Early Learning Coalition is a 501©(3) organization created in statute in 1999  responsible for the provision of School Readiness child care assistance (subsidized child care) and Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten services with federal, state, and local funding. The Coalition partners with the Florida Department of Education, Division of Early Learning, to deliver early learning services in Santa Rosa County.

  • The Early Learning Coalition of Santa Rosa County seeks to assist parents by focusing on opportunities for the birth-to-kindergarten population to enhance their chances for educational success by participating in quality early learning programs that can better prepare children for school.

Programs/Services

  • School readiness child care, including child care slot payments and eligibility services for infants through the age of 12

  • Resource and referral services

  • Provider services and support, including technical assistance, training and grants for child care providers

  • Quality enhancement activities

  • CLASS Assessments to analyze the quality of teacher-student interactions

  • Ages and Stages Questionnaires developmental and social/emotional screenings

  • Parent/child services including technical assistance and support for parents/caregivers

  • Infant/toddler services

  • School-age provider support services

  • Inclusion and Warmline services for parents and providers

  • Support for fine art activities, mental health initiatives, and the purchase of books, toys, supplies and equipment to be used by child care providers

  • Voluntary pre-kindergarten oversight activities included provider recruitment and training, implementation, public awareness, administration, enrollment, monitoring and slot payments.
